Our Story

Born from Passion.
Built for the Drive.

It started with a half-disassembled FD RX-7 in a cramped New Jersey garage. Angel, our founder, had been wrenching since he was thirteen — street racing, building, breaking things, fixing them again. The rotary engine had him from the first bridge-ported scream he heard echoing off a warehouse wall. Late nights blurred into early mornings. Busted knuckles, 10mm sockets that vanished into thin air, the permanent scent of premix soaked into everything. You know this garage. It's the same one you've spent weekends in — where friendships get forged over coolant flushes and timing-light debates, and nobody leaves until the engine fires clean.

The Origin

Where It All Began

Quality parts for rotaries were scarce — and too much of what existed felt like it was made by people who'd never actually built an engine.

The turning point came from frustration. Quality parts for rotaries were scarce — and too much of what existed felt like it was made by people who'd never actually built an engine. Generic designs. Questionable tolerances. Parts that treated the 13B like an afterthought. So Angel started machining his own: a small batch of rebuild components built to standards that honored the engineering, not just the aftermarket catalog. What happened next wasn't a business plan — it was enthusiasts showing up at the garage door. Not just for parts. For the conversation. For the canyon runs at dawn. For the first Cars & Coffee where that rotary idle drew a crowd before anyone had touched their coffee. The club wasn't launched. It coalesced.

The name came late one night in the Vegas Valley — the desert city we now call home. After a meet, standing around a parking lot long after the last car should have left, someone said every build starts as a dream, and every driver chasing that dream is reaching for a star. It wasn't marketing. It was just true. Today, Dream Star Drivers Club ships premium apparel, accessories, and rotary and 2JZ performance parts worldwide — but the garage is still where everything gets tested first. Every stitch, every tolerance, every design decision still runs through the same question: would we run this on our own cars? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't ship. Because this isn't just merch. This is membership.
